G. Frank Lawlis, PhD, ABPP

G. Frank Lawlis focused upon clinical and research methods of the mind-body when he received his Ph.D. in Psychology with an emphasis in medical psychology and rehabilitation. He was board-certified (A.B.P.P.) in both Counseling Psychology and Clinical Psychology. He also received the status of Fellow from the American Psychological Association for his scientific contributions to the field of clinical psychology and behavioral medicine by conducting groundbreaking studies and developing new approaches in health care. He has blazed new studies and approaches in the care of children and adults with chronic and acute pain, cancer and neurological problems. He has held clinical and research professorships at New York Medical Center, Texas Tech Medical School, Universities of Texas Health Center at San Antonio and Dallas and Stanford Medical School. Dr. Lawlis has authored and co-authored more than 100 articles and chapters as well as textbooks; Imagery and Disease, Bridges of the Bodymind (IPAT, 1980), Transpersonal Medicine and The Mosby Textbook on Alternative Medicine.  Current contributions are the best-selling books: The ADD Answer, The IQ Answer, Mending the Bond, and The Stress Answer. He is the developer of the BioAcoustical Utilization Device (BAUD). Dr. Lawlis is principle adviser of the Dr. Phil Show and Director of Psychological Testing, America Mensa.
